At Yorkshire in Business, we pride ourselves in supporting our local business community. Our new project, Freedom Providers, offers the opportunity for small businesses and service providers in the East Riding to gain access to a growing network of clients in your local area. If you're an existing business or just setting up, we can help you.
We want to help people set up their own small business (Micro-provider) to provide paid for support or care for people in their local community.
These small flexible and personalised services mean that people have greater choice and control over the type of support they receive, when they want it and who provides it. Through our programme you can get free help and advice to set up your business, register as a micro-provider, achieve our quality standard mark, find clients and get started.
Our team consists of highly qualified and motivated professionals, who are all experts in their field. With many years of experience in the industry, they have the expertise to provide comprehensive, first-rate services to our clients.
Suzanne has many years of management experience working in the Care Sector and especially understands the issues facing people living in rural parts of the county.
“I feel very passionately about this project and want to build on the real community spirit built during covid, helping neighbours stay in their own home and live independently is so important especially in villages where resources are often limited. By supporting people to become self-employed, we can help remove many of the obstacles and fears of starting a business.”
Sarah has years of experience as a business owner in Scarborough and has joined the YIB team to help support the local community in starting up their own foundations.
“I have a Batchelors Degree in Health and Social Care and have worked in the Civil Service and voluntary sector. I have both a professional and Personal, keen interest in communities, and believe a vital component of a flourishing community has a sense of spirit, personality, and pride. Being a part of a community can give us a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves. With this project providing support to help people become self-employed this will benefit communities immensely”
